2nd Vietnam High Energy Physics workshop

"High Energy Physics: Frontiers and Interfaces"

Hanoi, 25–27 November 2026

Overview

"High Energy Physics: Frontiers and Interfaces" is the second workshop of the High Energy Society dedicated to the advanced frontiers of high energy physics (HEP) while fostering interdisciplinary collaborations at its interfaces with neighboring fields. As particle physics enters an era driven by precision measurements, high-luminosity accelerators, multi-messenger astronomy, advanced computing, and artificial intelligence, addressing fundamental questions about the Universe increasingly requires close interaction across traditional disciplinary boundaries.

The workshop aims to provide a vibrant forum for researchers, educators, and early-career scientists to exchange recent scientific results, discuss emerging theoretical and experimental developments, and explore new opportunities for collaboration. The scientific program will cover a broad spectrum of topics, ranging from quantum field- and particle theory, particle phenomenology, collider physics, neutrino physics, flavor physics, astroparticle physics, cosmology, and gravitational-wave science, to detector technologies, instrumentation, high-performance computing, machine learning, quantum information science, and data-intensive research. Beyond presenting the latest advances in high energy physics, the workshop emphasizes the growing role of interdisciplinary research at the interfaces between particle physics and mathematics, nuclear physics, astrophysics, condensed matter physics, quantum technologies, computer science, and artificial intelligence. These interfaces are creating new methodologies, enabling innovative experiments, and opening novel perspectives on some of the most profound questions in modern science.

The conference will feature plenary lectures by distinguished experts, invited and contributed talks, poster sessions, panel discussions, and dedicated networking activities. Special attention will be given to supporting young researchers through opportunities for scientific exchange, mentorship, and the establishment of new international collaborations.

"High Energy Physics: Frontiers and Interfaces" seeks to strengthen the global high energy physics community by bringing together scientists from universities, research institutes, and laboratories creating an inclusive environment for sharing ideas and inspiring future discoveries at the frontiers of fundamental physics. Recognizing the importance of nurturing the next generation of scientists, the conference will include a dedicated Student Session, providing students with an opportunity to present their research, interact with leading experts, and engage with the high energy physics community. Outstanding student presentations will be recognized through awards, inspiring future scientists and promoting excellence in scientific research and communication.
